Principal DevOps Engineer

Principal Engineer - DevOps About Us We’re working with a fast-growing robotics company developing advanced autonomous systems for real-world deployment. We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to build and operate the infrastructure that takes software from development environments onto physical robots in the field. You’ll work across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, build systems, containerisation and robot deployment, helping engineering teams ship software quickly, reliably and safely. A great opportunity to join a technically ambitious robotics team and work on the infrastructure that enables software to move from code to real-world autonomous machines. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain CI/CD and build pipelines for a large robotics software stack.Develop tooling to package, version and deploy software to physical robots.Provision and operate cloud infrastructure supporting development, deployment and backend services.Build consistent Docker-based development and deployment environments.Implement monitoring, logging and observability across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.Automate build, testing and release workflows to improve engineering efficiency.Partner with robotics, AI, fleet and software teams to solve real-world deployment challenges.Strong hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure automation.Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.Proficiency with Python, Bash or similar scripting languages.Experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI tooling.Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.Experience deploying software to robots, edge devices or physical hardware.Infrastructure-as-code experience.Familiarity with Bazel or large-scale build systems.Experience with observability, monitoring and telemetry platforms.Robotics, autonomous systems or embedded software experience.
