Python Develoeper - 12 months - £450 PD Outside IR 35 - Hybrid (2 days PW, Stratford, London) Role Purpose We are seeking an experienced Python Engineer to join a global ed-tech SaaS corporation that generates annual revenues of nearly £200m annually, with activities spanning a global network of 80 English teaching centres in 50 countries, teaching 400,000 students each year, as well as an emerging portfolio of on-line products and services already reaching over 120 million English learners and teachers annually. The role focuses on designing and building scalable Python microservices, integrating AI services such as speech recognition, text-to-speech, and large language models, while supporting rapid product delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable Python services, APIs, and data pipelines.Collaborate with product, data science, design, and QA teams.Contribute to technical architecture, code reviews, and technology decisions.Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and quality standards.Mentor team members and support continuous improvement. Essential Skills Experience of working within Education Technology or Global SaaS corporations is a must haveStrong Python development experience (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Pytest).Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, and microservices.Knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, OpenTelemetry, and cloud-native development.Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to take ownership and thrive in a fast-moving environment. Desirable AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and DevOps experience.Exposure to AI/ML and GenAI technologies.Knowledge of OAuth/JWT and modern ML frameworks. One stage interview process, MS teams.
