Maintenance Engineer

About the Role This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on engineering expertise with strategic asset management, helping drive reliability, efficiency, and future-focused maintenance practices across multiple sites. Reporting to the National Manager, Bandag Factories, you'll be responsible for ensuring our manufacturing assets operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. You'll lead preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives, provide technical expertise during breakdowns and major overhauls, and help shape the future of maintenance through data-driven decision making and emerging technologies. This role can be based at either our Salisbury (SA) or Wacol (QLD) facility and will involve working closely with operational teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand. What You'll Be Doing Developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programsDriving asset reliability and minimising manufacturing downtimeDiagnosing complex equipment issues and supporting major repairsManaging maintenance schedules, critical spares, and contractor performanceMonitoring asset performance and producing technical maintenance reportsSupporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operationsLeveraging maintenance data, predictive technologies, AI, and machine learning opportunities to improve reliabilityEnsuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and maintenance standardsChampioning Bridgestone's commitment to safety and sustainability What You’ll Bring Extensive experience in manufacturing maintenance and asset managementStrong knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic equipment within high-volume industrial environmentsExperience leading or participating in major plant shutdowns, overhauls, and maintenance projectsDegree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (desirable)Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong reporting, planning, and stakeholder management capabilitiesExposure to predictive maintenance systems, data analytics, machine learning, or Industry 4.0 technologies will be highly regardedKnowledge of safety, compliance, and factory facility requirements About Us We are proud to be a leader in tyre and mobility solutions, offering premium products and services that keep individuals, businesses, and industries moving.
