Full Stack Java/React Developer – AWS

Job Title : Full Stack Java/React Developer – AWS Location: Columbus, OH / Wilmington, DE Job Type: Long-Term Contract Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable, and high-quality applications. · Build modern, responsive, customer-facing web applications using React, JavaScript, and Node.js. · Develop backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices. · Design and integrate event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, including producers and consumers. · Develop and deploy applications using AWS cloud services. · Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, Operations, and other technology teams to deliver new features. · Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. · Troubleshoot application issues, resolve defects, and support production environments. · Contribute to application monitoring, observability, incident resolution, and system stability. · Participate in technical design discussions and provide input on application architecture. · Take ownership of development tasks from requirements through testing and production deployment. · Use AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, testing, documentation, and overall development quality. · Contribute to improving website performance, search functionality, and overall customer experience. Required Qualifications · 3+ years of professional software development experience. · Strong hands-on experience with React and JavaScript. · Experience with Node.js and modern frontend/web development. · Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot. · Experience developing REST APIs and Microservices. · Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including producers and consumers. · Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services. · Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or similar. · Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar. · Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms. · Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. · Ability to work effectively in an Agile software development environment. Preferred Qualifications · Experience with Next.js. · Experience developing public-facing/customer-facing web applications. · Experience with large-scale digital platforms, e-commerce, financial services, banking, or credit card applications. · Experience with SEO and search optimization. · Experience optimizing digital experiences for AI agents. · AWS certification or progress toward AWS certification. · Experience taking features from requirements and design through development, testing, and production launch. · Strong stakeholder and executive
