Oracle Database Developer

Role: Oracle Database Engineer Location: Fremont, California Mandatory Requirement: We are specifically seeking a candidate with strong, recent, hands-on Oracle Database experience. SQL Server knowledge is a plus; however, it cannot replace the required Oracle expertise. Candidates primarily experienced in SQL Server will not qualify. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle databases.Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and security.Perform Oracle SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.Manage database backups, recovery, patching, upgrades, and migrations.Troubleshoot complex production issues and conduct root-cause analysis.Support high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions.Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams.Automate routine database administration and monitoring activities.Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.Participate in production support and on-call activities when required. Required Skills: Strong hands-on Oracle Database administration experience.Expertise in Oracle architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, and Enterprise Manager.Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle SQL performance tuning.Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical production databases.Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.Experience with Oracle upgrades, migrations, and patching.Strong Linux/Unix and shell-scripting skills. Preferred Skills: SQL Server experience.Google Cloud Platform experience.Automation experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.Knowledge of database security, auditing, access controls, and compliance.
