Software Engineer (Full Stack Focus)

A key focus of this role is the ability to react swiftly to emergent mission opportunities, designing and deploying new capabilities under tight timeframes. You will provide end-to-end support to a cross-functional team automating critical solutions across the entire software stack, including user interfaces, middleware, databases, analytics, and cloud architectures. Collaboration is essential as you work alongside teammates and partners to modernize legacy infrastructure and scale future capabilities. What You Will Do Develop end-to-end full-stack solutions, including user interfaces, REST middleware, databases, and analytics to support the ES team's missionAutomate new opportunities and capabilities to be seamlessly leveraged by CNO and its partnersMaintain and update existing front-end interfaces utilizing JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery, while preparing to migrate future front-ends to modern UI libraries like React, Angular, or VueOptimize existing backends using Python, Asyncio, and Pandas, and occasionally perform updates to legacy Java Map/Reduce and GHOSTMACHINE analyticsManage and deploy services within existing infrastructure environments using MACHINESHOP, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD, while planning expansions into C2S and HCIUtilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Opencode to accelerate code delivery and enhance team development velocity What You Need To Have 12+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline + 4+ years of experienceClearance:TS/SCI w/PolyExperience with successful software development on NSANet, demonstrating familiarity with environment ecosystems such as MACHINESHOP, C2S, or GHOSTMACHINEProduction-grade software development experience in Python and JavaScript to build robust, full-stack architecturesKnowledge of developing user interfaces, REST middleware, databases, and analytics within a cross-functional team frameworkExperience with collaborative development workflows, showcasing a strong history of teamwork and communication skillsFamiliarity with git-based version control systems and continuous integration pipelines What We'd Like You To Have Experience working within CNO, specifically with ATPG, TURBINE/ASGARD, or other automation platforms, alongside past CNE exposureExperience using and customizing AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, etc.) through advanced configurations like Skills and MemoryFamiliarity with modern UI libraries (React, Angular, Vue) and cloud-based hosting environments like AWSExperience with infrastructure expansion and deployment utilizing tools such as C2S, HCI, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD Pay transparency Please note the targeted compensation range is provided as an estimate, and any actual compensation offer may vary depending on the needs of the company, or an applicant's skillset, competencies, experience, education, certifications, location, or other factors.
