As a Senior Java Developer, you will design and deliver resilient, scalable backend solutions that enable business-critical outcomes for our clients.
Working as a trusted, AI-fluent advisor, you will contribute across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to build high-quality platforms, drive continuous improvement, and support a future-ready engineering culture.

Hybrid working:

Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver scalable backend solutions that support business-critical client outcomes.Build resilient, event-driven services capable of handling high volumes of data and transactions reliably.Own the delivery lifecycle from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, observable, and aligned with engineering best practices.Drive quality through automated testing, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within distributed environments to maintain service reliability.Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, and security stakeholders to achieve successful delivery outcomes.Promote reusable patterns, technical standards, and effective knowledge sharing across teams.Leverage AI-assisted engineering practices responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining governance and quality standards.Contribute to building a future-ready workforce through mentoring, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Must-Have Skills
Strong experience delivering enterprise-scale backend applications and microservices.Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, event processing patterns, and state management concepts.Proven expertise in designing scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed systems.Strong knowledge of API design principles and secure service-to-service integration practices.Experience applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated quality engineering approaches.Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and support complex production environments.Experience working across the full software development lifecycle within agile delivery teams.Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.Handson experience with AI assisted development tools such as Claude Code GitHub Copilot or equivalent platformsCommitment to continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and knowledge sharing.Java, Spring Boot, and modern microservices frameworks.Apache Kafka, event streaming platforms, and event sourcing implementations.gRPC and high-throughput service design approaches.Docker, containerization technologies, and CI/CD toolchains including GitLab.JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and mocking frameworks.OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Observe, or similar observability platforms.Identity and Access Management (IAM), authorization, or security-focused engineering experience.Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or other regulated industry environments.
