My client — a fast-growing technology joint venture between a global management consulting leader and a global alternative investment fund manager — is hiring a Senior Java Developer to join their technology team, building bespoke systems across banking, financial services and private capital. This is a rare opportunity for a genuinely exceptional Java engineer to work close to the trading lifecycle, on Order Management Systems, where code quality and performance are not secondary concerns — they are the job. Location: London — office-based Overview: You'll be working deep within Order Management Systems, buy side or sell side, delivering high-performance, mission-critical software for Front Office and trading functions. This is not a maintenance role — it's a chance to shape systems that are actively being built and scaled, with direct exposure to the trading lifecycle and the people who depend on it. Responsibilities: In this role, you will take technical ownership of complex Java systems end-to-end, working closely with Front Office stakeholders, traders and subject matter experts to understand requirements and deliver pragmatic, high-performance solutions. You'll be expected to make and defend sound architectural and engineering decisions, drive code quality across the team, and operate comfortably in an environment where precision and speed both matter.
