Our challenge:
We are seeking a highly skilled Golang Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and services.
The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, expertise in Golang or Java-based development, and experience building distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications.
The role requires a hands-on engineer who thrives in an Agile environment and is passionate about delivering robust and scalable solutions.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta, GA is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance applications using Golang and modern software engineering practices.
Build and maintain scalable microservices and distributed systems following Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
Develop and consume REST, SOAP, and gRPC services with a focus on extensibility, reusability, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions using containers and service mesh technologies.
Write efficient and optimized SQL queries and interact with relational databases such as Sybase, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
Develop and maintain UNIX shell scripts for automation and operational support activities.
Work closely with stakeholders in Agile/SCRUM teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Required Skills:
Strong expertise in Golang development with a solid understanding of software design principles and architecture patterns.Experience in Java development; knowledge of C++ is a plus.Strong understanding of:Design PatternsData Structures & AlgorithmsObject-Oriented Design (OOD)Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)Experience designing and developing APIs using:RESTSOAPgRPCHands-on experience with relational databases and SQL query optimization.Strong experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting, Perl, or KornShell (KSH).Familiarity with cloud technologies, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and service mesh architectures.Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation.Additional Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate frameworks.Experience with batch processing and automation scripts.Exposure to distributed systems and event-driven architectures.Understanding of observability, monitoring, and logging frameworks.
