Description

About the Company A venture-backed healthcare company delivering in-home and virtual primary care to high-need households. Care teams treat the entire family as one patient unit, covering adult and pediatric primary care, behavioral health, chronic condition management, urgent visits, and social support services. The company partners with health plans across multiple states and is scaling quickly. The Role The company is building its own software platform to replace legacy CRM and EHR workflows. The platform serves several user groups: clinicians working in patients' homes, care coordinators scheduling and managing caseloads, and market operations leaders. A patient-facing experience is on the roadmap. There is no separate product manager or design team. Engineers work directly with clinical and operational staff to define, build, and measure what ships. What You'll Do Own a product area from first conversation through launch and post-launch metrics, including the backend services behind itTurn loosely defined problems into working software. Expect short briefs and direct user conversations, not detailed ticketsLead part of the migration off legacy systems: learn how current workflows run, then decide what to keep, change, or dropDesign and prototype interfaces for very different settings, from a clinician on a tablet in a patient's home to a coordinator juggling multiple screensUse AI coding agents as a core part of daily work, and know when to trust them and when not toApply extra care to anything involving patient data, access control, or clinical decisions What You Bring 4+ years building and shipping user-facing productsDeep skill in either TypeScript/React or Python, with working ability in the otherReal interface design experience, not just implementing someone else's mockupsStrong product judgment: you can find the actual problem behind a request and say no to work that won't move anythingAn eye for simplicity. You know a cleaner screen with less on it often serves users betterAWS experience, ideally in a HIPAA-compliant settingDaily use of agentic coding tools and clear written communicationHealthcare experience not required, but you'll need to pick up concepts like PHI and care gaps quickly Tech Stack Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, React, TypeScript, AWS (containerized services, managed databases, LLM services) Nice to Have LLM-powered features in productionOffline-first or mobile app experienceEHR integration experience
