Your mission Design, develop, and maintain core backend services, with a focus on digital identity and wallet-related componentsImplement and operate secure, standards-compliant wallet functionality (e.g. credential issuance, verification, and storage) within our platformEnsure the reliability, scalability, and security of core services that other product components depend onCollaborate with architects and product teams to translate technical and regulatory requirements (e.g. self-sovereign identity, decentralized identifiers, verifiable credentials) into robust implementationsContribute to API design and integration patterns for wallet and identity-related servicesParticipate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practicesMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in core services, ensuring high availability and data integrityStay current with relevant standards and specifications (e.g. Gaia-X, Catena-X, W3C DID/VC) and help shape their implementation through participation in working groups, expert groups and committees as required. Your profile Several years of experience as a backend or software engineer in an agile development environmentHands-on experience with identity and credential technologies such as SSI, DIDs, verifiable credentials, or digital wallets is a strong plusStrong programming skills in (preferably) Java, or C# .NETSolid understanding of cryptography fundamentals, secure API design, and data protection principlesExperience with cloud-native architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with relevant standards bodies and specifications (e.g. Gaia-X, Catena-X) is beneficialAnalytical and structured working style with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Why us?
