Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Java Web Developer to join our team and work on web applications supporting the onboarding and management of new clients and accounts.The role is primarily focused on Core Java and Java web technologies, with Scala used in the backend. The candidate will work across the full web application stack, including backend services, web technologies, APIs, databases, and frontend frameworks such as Angular and React.The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring MVC, web application development, REST/SOAP services, and application servers, along with a good understanding of how modern web applications work end-to-end. Primary Skill: Core JavaSecondary Skill: Scala Key Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based web applications used for client and account onboarding and management.Build and maintain backend applications and services using Java and Scala.Develop web applications using Spring MVC and Java web technologies.Work with Liferay 7.x, Tomcat 9.0+, and other application servers such as JBoss or GlassFish.Develop and integrate REST and SOAP web services, including hosting and consuming services.Work with frontend technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, and React.Develop responsive web interfaces using CSS3, responsive design principles, and web-based technologies.Work with XML and understand its role in application and service integrations.Collaborate with database teams and work with applications utilizing Oracle and SQL Server.Apply knowledge of PL/SQL to understand application functionality and database interactions.Troubleshoot and technically support applications in production environments.Participate in production deployments and provide post-deployment support.Perform code reviews and contribute to application design and architecture decisions.Collaborate closely with QA engineers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other technical teams.Understand and work with multiple technologies across an integrated application environment. Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and Java web application development.Experience with Spring MVC.Experience with Liferay 7.x.Experience with Tomcat 9.0 or above.Experience with other application servers such as JBoss, GlassFish, or similar technologies is acceptable.Strong understanding of web application development and web technologies.Experience with JavaScript APIs and jQuery.Knowledge of CSS3 and responsive web design.Working knowledge of Angular and/or React is preferred.Strong experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP web services.Good understanding of XML.Experience working with Oracle and/or SQL Server.Exposure to PL/SQL.Ability to understand and work across multiple technologies and platforms.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively with QA, Business Analysts, Project Managers, developers, and other technical teams. Desired Qualifications Experience with Scala and Scala-based backend applications.Strong understanding of how web-based applications work end-to-end.Experience supporting applications in production environments.Experience with production deployments and troubleshooting.Experience performing code reviews.Experience with application design and architecture.Ability to quickly learn and work with new technologies in a diverse technical environment.
