The Opportunity
We are seeking a Group Manager – Governance to strengthen the governance framework that supports ECG’s global business.
Working closely with executive and operational leaders, you will shape practical controls across enterprise risk, management systems, quality assurance, business systems, information governance and AI governance.
This is a broad, influential role for someone who can bring structure, clarity and accountability to a growing international business without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and improve ECG’s governance framework, including policies, delegations, approvals and management system controlsLead enterprise risk management, including risk criteria, reporting, treatment actions and escalation of material exposuresOversee the Integrated Management System and Quality Document Management System, ensuring controlled information remains current and effectiveEstablish and oversee a risk-based quality assurance and internal audit program, including corrective action and external certification supportSet governance requirements for critical business systems, including ownership, access, information control, retention and change managementEstablish practical governance for the business use of AI, including approval, human review, data handling, accountability and monitoringLead governance resources and partner with Finance, Projects, Operations and the commercial and legal function on material business risks
What You’ll Bring
A degree in law, commerce, business, engineering, quality management or a related disciplineSubstantial senior management experience across governance, assurance, commercial risk or business systems in a complex organisationDemonstrated experience leading teams and influencing executive and operational decision-makersExperience overseeing management systems, audit programs, corrective actions and controlled documentationStrong judgement, communication and stakeholder management capabilityExperience in engineering, construction, resources or project delivery is highly regardedPostgraduate study or certification in auditing, risk management or management systems is desirable
