Junior Software Developer – Java Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Working Pattern: Hybrid – Amsterdam Contract: Initial 6-month contract - B2B Contract Rate: €550.00 per day Experience: 3+ years We’re looking for a Junior Software Developer with around 3+ years of commercial development experience to join a technology team in Amsterdam on an initial 6-month contract. This is a great opportunity for a Java-focused developer who enjoys building customer-facing applications and working with modern, distributed systems. You’ll be working in a collaborative engineering environment, contributing to applications operating at significant scale. What you’ll bring 3+ years of professional software development experienceStrong experience with Java, Spring Boot and microservices — specific versions are not requiredExperience building and supporting customer-facing applicationsExperience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databasesA relevant technical background in Java, backend development and distributed systemsExperience working on large-scale applications, ideally supporting 10,000+ usersClear evidence of project impact and measurable contributions, rather than simply a list of responsibilitiesGood understanding of software development practices, collaboration and version control Nice to have experience with: KafkaAWSKubernetesDockerGitLab CI/CDFinTech or financial services The role You’ll have the opportunity to work on backend services and customer-facing applications within a modern technology environment.
