YASAN is an AI sales agent for e-commerce.
We help people find the right products and handle customer conversations across search, chat and email.
We’re a pre-seed startup backed by Miton.
More than 100 e-shops already use YASAN.
We’re looking for a senior backend engineer who is a builder.
Someone who can take responsibility for a part of the product and platform, figure out what needs to happen, ship it and run it in prod.You’ll work where backend meets AI.
A big part of the job is context engineering, figuring out how to give models the right product, customer and business context so they can actually do useful work.

You build it, you run it.Nobody will write detailed tickets for you.We’re 6 people, 4 in engineering.Things change fast.
It is, after all, a startup.
What you’ll doOwn a backend area end to end, from figuring out the work to running it in prod.Build the systems that give our AI the right context from product catalogs, e-commerce platforms and customer conversations.Work on product catalogue sync, email processing and queues.Help the platform scale without making production more exciting than it needs to be.Review backend PRs properly, before prod gets a chance to review them for us.
Own your code in production, including deploys, monitoring and incidents.

Disclaimer: We use AI tooling a lot, but you still need to be really good at coding.
You5+ years of backend experience.Strong TypeScript or Node and PostgreSQL.You’ve owned a system or product area before, not just closed tickets.You’ve deployed and operated your own code and dealt with production incidents.You can review other people’s code and spot problems that matter.
E-commerce, search, LLM apps or experience in a small product team is a plus, not a requirement.
We work from Prague Karlín in hybrid mode.
Remote within CZ/SK works too, with regular days in Prague.
