About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid or home-office environment, with locations in Ratingen and Frankfurt am Main. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructures, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will play a vital role in shaping our DevOps practices, integrating AI-assisted engineering tools, and managing cloud-native environments. Your responsibilities will include automating deployment pipelines, managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and developing Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools like Terraform and Ansible. You will also be involved in operating and optimizing large language model platforms, ensuring compliance with security standards, and supporting incident resolution at a senior level. This position offers a unique chance to work at the forefront of technological innovation, particularly in the realm of AI and cloud infrastructure. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, or Platform Engineering. You should have extensive knowledge of DevOps platforms, especially GitLab, and practical experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift 4, including enterprise cluster management. Familiarity with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP is essential, along with proven expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI. Proficiency in scripting and Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Shell, Python, or Go is required. Experience with container technologies like Docker and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack is also necessary. A strong understanding of security principles, including IT infrastructure security, Zero Trust models, secret management, and identity & access management (LDAP, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2), is highly valued. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, crisis management abilities, and fluency in both German and English at C1/C2 levels. Residency in Germany is a prerequisite. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive IT projects from initial conception through deployment and into stable production operation.Ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of Linux-based environments, microservices architectures, and web applications.Configure and maintain DevOps pipelines focusing on seamless Continuous Integration and Delivery processes.Integrate AI-assisted engineering tools, such as Claude Code, into development and operational workflows to enhance efficiency.Develop and operate Large Language Model (LLM) platforms, ensuring their robust and compliant deployment within the enterprise.Implement and manage Docker environments to support scalable and standardized application landscapes.Promote automation and standardization efforts across teams, ensuring operational stability and efficiency.Take ownership of 3rd-level support for complex system landscapes, conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.Utilize collaboration tools effectively to foster knowledge sharing, transparency, and teamwork.Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and security standards, including operational concepts and security policies.
