Technology & Data Engineer Location: London Bridge Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote We’re growing our Technology & Data team at Buchanan and are looking for a Technology & Data Engineer to join us. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop their technical skills in a hands-on environment, work on real-world projects and have exposure to different areas of technology, data and AI. You’ll join our existing Technology & Data team and help build, develop and maintain the internal software and tools used across Buchanan. One of our biggest projects is the development of our own internal AI technology platform, designed to help our sales teams work smarter, make better use of our data and improve the way we operate. You’ll play an important role in developing the platform as it continues to grow. What you'll be doing Building and maintaining features across our internal technology platformDeveloping tools and solutions using Python and SQLWorking with data from systems Helping build integrations, automations and internal applicationsSupporting projects from initial idea through to development, testing and implementationExploring how AI can be used to solve real business problemsWorking closely with the wider Technology & Data teamCollaborating with different teams across Buchanan and gaining exposure to senior leadership Ideally, you'll have: Experience using Python and SQLA good understanding of software development fundamentalsAn interest in AI, data and emerging technologyAn analytical approach to solving problemsA willingness to learn and get involved across different areasThe confidence to ask questions, contribute ideas and take increasing ownership as you develop We're looking for someone who wants to learn quickly, wear different hats and develop into a well-rounded engineer, while helping us build technology that has a genuine impact on how our business operates. You might be a recent Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar graduate, or already have some commercial development experience and be looking for your next step. If you're at the beginning of your career and looking for somewhere you can build, learn and take on more responsibility as you develop, we'd love to hear from you.
