As we expand our e-commerce presence, we're seeking a Shopify Developer in Amman to develop and operate the Shopify store and integrate it with the company's systems, ensuring accurate synchronization of orders, inventory, and pricing, efficient payment processing, and a user-friendly bilingual (Arabic and English) storefront, while maintaining performance, security, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce Sales Planning: Translate approved sales plans and campaigns into clear technical requirements and tasks.Shopify & Digital Store Management: Develop and maintain Shopify stores, including products, categories, search, cart, checkout, and user experience.Technical SEO Management: Implement technical SEO requirements related to crawling, indexing, site structure, speed, redirects, and performance.Product & Content Management: Manage product data, variations, pricing, availability, images, and content updates across digital platforms.Website Performance & User Experience: Optimize website performance across devices and address technical issues affecting browsing and purchasing.Analytics & Conversion Tracking: Implement and monitor tracking events, orders, conversions, and provide technical performance reports.System Integrations: Manage integrations between Shopify, SAP, payment gateways, invoicing systems, and other related platforms.Vendor & Integration Management: Coordinate with technology vendors and support the technical evaluation and integration of new suppliers.Technical & Operational Support: Troubleshoot technical issues, manage updates and releases, ensure data security, and support system stability.Cross-Functional Coordination & Teamwork: Collaborate with E-Commerce, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Operations teams, while documenting systems, training users, and recommending improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong hands-on experience in web development; preferably 5+ years, including 3 years of Shopify development, or an equivalent proven track record.Proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience working with APIs and version control tools.Proven experience in integrations, data migration, system testing, and error handling.Experience with ERP systems, Arabic e-commerce stores, and RTL support is preferred.Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to estimate effort and prioritize tasks.
