Description

We're looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to help our client build out their test automation and help keep releases fast and reliable. An experienced javascript/typescript engineer, you'll own automated testing end to end — from shaping test strategy against new requirements through to designing, building and maintaining the frameworks that catch problems before customers do. What you'll do: Work across the full SDLC, translating requirements and user stories into solid test plans and test casesCollaborate and consult with software engineers to evaluate code testability and review product specsDesign, build and maintain automated test suites covering UI, API and integration/regression testingContinuously improve and extend existing test automation frameworksInvestigate test failures, document defects and track them to resolutionWhat you'll bring: 5+ years in software engineering and/or QAExceptional JavaScript/TypeScript skills in Node and browser environmentsHands-on experience with Playwright or a similar tool — ideally including building out a test framework, not just working within oneSolid API test automation experience, plus a good grip on REST, HTTP and general web/networking conceptsComfortable working in an AWS/CI environmentA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fieldNice to have: Experience testing across multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android)Exposure to Electron, Cordova or Android device testingCI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins, Docker, Buildkite, Git)
