One of our leading federal govt clients is seeking to engage Principal Software Engineer-EL2 -Canberra Please note Candidates must have a NV2 security clearance Initial contract duration-12 months Extension term-24 months Experience level-Manager - EL2 Level equivalent Location of work-Canberra-Onsite Job details Key duties and responsibilities They will be required to: Design, develop and maintain user interfaces for modern web applications using Angular Maintain and enhance .Net Core Web API server applications Maintain and enhance the SQL Server databases which underpin the application Be a technical escalation point for complex bugs or enhancements Write integration and unit tests Collaborate closely with .NET back-end developers, Angular front-end developers, business analysts and testers to design, develop, and support quality outcomes within existing code Identify and present process or code improvement initiatives Develop, track, and complete assigned PBIs and bugs to a high quality across all areas of the system Participate and actively contribute to peer code reviews Utilise Azure DevOps and deployment practices while championing for continual improvement Contribute to system and process documentation Deliver technical production support as required on a rotating basis Infrequent support of operations from 7.00am, coordinated within the team, along with providing out-of-hours support on a rotating basis among team members Other duties as requestedRequired skills and experience Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience as a Senior .Net Developer in an enterprise environment including C#, Entity Framework, Entity Framework Core and ASP.NET Core Analytical mindset, identifying and resolving production support and business issues Experience developing and styling modern single-page applications using Angular, TypeScript and CSS Strong SQL Server Skills, including writing and executing SQL commands. Experience in implementing asynchronous messaging patterns and deep understanding of enterprise design patterns (Repository, CQRS, Mediator, Factory). Experience utilising, managing and enhancing CI/CD pipeline consisting of Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy or similar Outstanding work ethic, self-starting, with demonstrated problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to both support and development Willingness to work collaboratively, put forward and argue ideas to the team and accept team decisions Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels from end-users to technical resources Ability to consistently work core hours and assist with ad-hoc rotations to support the 7:00am-6:00pm operations If you would like to apply for the above role, then please send your updated resume with Cover Letter to rahul.sharma@italliance.com.au
