About the Opportunity:
The SOFTWARE ENGINEER, NEW GRAD role is designed for recent graduates and early-career engineers aiming to accelerate their professional growth by building production software systems.
This position involves contributing to and eventually owning core internal platform capabilities and product features.
The role is critical in supporting internal workflows and platforms, ensuring the delivery of reliable, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design and development of end-to-end fullstack systems supporting critical internal workflows and platforms.Build maintainable backend services and APIs following scalable engineering practices.Develop high-quality frontend interfaces for internal teams and end users.Participate in data modeling and database optimization, including schema design and query performance.Collaborate with product, operations, and design teams to translate concepts into production-ready features.Improve engineering quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvements.Assist in troubleshooting production issues to build resilient and observable systems.Develop engineering judgment to balance speed, scalability, and maintainability.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (recent graduate or soon to graduate).Experience through internships, co-ops, research, or personal projects in software application development.Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.Familiarity with frontend development using React or similar frameworks.Familiarity with backend development using Node.js (NestJS is a plus).Understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and data modeling principles.Knowledge of RESTful APIs and distributed application communication.Exposure to Git and modern software development workflows.Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, attention to detail, and a growth mindset.Motivation to learn quickly and contribute in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Preferred:
Internship or professional software engineering experience.Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment pipelines, or DevOps fundamentals.Exposure to modern architectures such as microservices, serverless, or event-driven systems.Interest in AI-powered products, workflow automation, or data-intensive applications.Experience contributing to team projects, hackathons, open-source software, or startup environments.
