About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, DESIGN SYSTEMS is responsible for developing and maintaining the AI-assisted pipeline that transitions product designs into production code.
This role focuses on creating workflows and tools that enhance collaboration between design and engineering teams, directly impacting the efficiency and quality of product delivery.
The position works closely with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that integrate design systems and AI tooling.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement AI-assisted workflows connecting design tools to production code.Collaborate with product design to develop patterns and components that translate into shipped products.Enhance the design system to support integration with AI-assisted development tools.Partner with engineering teams responsible for tooling foundations and web infrastructure.Engage with users of the design-to-code pipeline to gather feedback and improve workflows.Prototype and assess emerging AI development tools, recommending adoption strategies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a frontend engineer developing production product surfaces.Proficiency with modern web technologies, including TypeScript and React.Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and understanding of their capabilities and limitations.Experience building widely adopted tools or infrastructure, including onboarding and documentation.Strong collaboration skills with designers, product managers, and engineering partners.Minimum of six years of professional software engineering experience.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Expected salary range varies by location: $210,800 to $272,800 for major metro areas; $189,600 to $245,300 for select states and metros; $179,400 to $232,100 for other U.S.
locations.Actual salary offers depend on factors including job level, qualifications, skills, and proficiency.
