Hiring Range: $115,000 - $150,000 Full Time or Part Time: FULL TIME Additional Detail Job Description To provide leadership in .NET development and maintenance of application software systems working across the full stack from APIs and databases to the user interface. Please note this position follows a hybrid work schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the assigned work location in Virginia. Responsibilities This position is responsible for analysis, design and development of new applications, including web APIs and user interfaces. The position performs hands-on software development and provides technical leadership on application architecture, design patterns, and development standards. Duties include data modeling and database design, building secure, accessible, and responsive user interfaces, and leading and participating in code reviews. This position will also maintain the Agency's applications and Information Technology systems, mentor other developers, and document technical decisions. Qualifications Significant experience in professional software development , including hands-on work with C# and .NET, with current experience on .NET 8 or greater. Advanced skills in ASP.NET Core web API development, including routing, middleware, dependency injection, configuration, and consistent error handling.Experience with Entity Framework Core or a similar ORM, including query performance, transactions, and schema migrations.Working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL, including data modeling and SQL queries, with familiarity with NoSQL data stores a plus.Proficiency with front-end development using TypeScript and a modern component framework such as Vue, React, or Angular, building accessible and responsive user interfaces.Knowledge of web security fundamentals, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and authorization design.Proficiency with Git, including branching and merging strategies, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.Demonstrated ability to apply software architecture and design patterns, weigh trade-offs, and document design decisions.Knowledge of containerization, such as Docker, and cloud computing concepts, including software as a service and platform as a service, with experience in distributed caching or messaging and background-processing frameworks a plus.Ability to analyze, design, implement, and maintain IT applications and databases.Ability to mentor and lead a small development team and communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
