Description

Marketers on Demand is partnering with a global leader in rail technology to find an Integration, Test & Validation (ITV) Specialist. You'll join a team testing signaling systems for major UK rail modernization projects. This is a hands-on, lab-based role. It suits a proactive tester who ramps up quickly and takes ownership without waiting to be told. What you'll do Analyze system, subsystem and software requirements to define test cases and validation methodsWrite test procedures and run tests in the lab, mainly manual testingInvestigate test anomalies by digging into data files and design documentation, and by working with development teamsLog defects, write test reports and perform traceability analysisTake part in design reviews and the resolution of integration issues What you bring A degree in engineering (required). Computer science or electrical engineering is preferred.3–5 years of testing experience, ideally in railway. Automotive experience will also be considered.Hands-on lab testing experience (required)Strong technical writing skills and fluent EnglishComfort working on-site in Scarborough: Mondays and Tuesdays at minimum, plus extra lab days as testing requires Nice to have DOORS or a similar requirements management toolVB scripting or PythonKnowledge of railway signaling or CBTC The details 12-month contractInterview process: a 30-minute virtual screen, then a 1-hour in-person interviewThe client is moving quickly, with interviews starting right away
