About The Role As a Lead Full-stack Engineer, you will build and maintain web applications for our Client, a large European public institution, working across the front end, back-end services, the data layer, and their deployment in the cloud. Responsibilities Development of front-end website architectureDesign of user interactions on web pagesDevelopment of back-end website applicationsImplement core business logicApply data and security best practices: input validation, authentication/authorization, secure storage, compliant logging and monitoringEnsure web applications are optimized for performance and functionality across different browsers and devicesDesign responsive applicationsDesign and develop APIsParticipating in the design and creation of scalable softwareMaintenance of code integrity and organisationWriting clean, functional code on the front- and back-endCompile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvementPerform unit/integration testing, debug, fix, and validate code changesDeliver solutions that fulfil functional and non-functional requirements and align with user expectationsWrite technical documentationDevelop and maintain features across the entire stack, from designing user interfaces and consuming APIs to implementing server-side business logic and database interactionsDeploy and manage applications on cloud platforms using CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies Requirements University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education), and minimum 15 years of IT professional experienceVery good knowledge of English or French language, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSSKnowledge of front-end frameworks/libraries (Angular) and the BFF patternProficiency in Java, experience with the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring MVC), with Hibernate and Spring BootExperience with JEE and Weblogic deploymentsKnowledge and experience with XML, XSD and XSLTProficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), including schema design and query optimizationExperience with Atlassian products (BitBucket, Bamboo, Jira) and GitLab ecosystem GitLab pipelines (GitLab CI/CD), including design, configuration, and optimization of automated build, test, and deployment workflowsExperience with asynchronous processing using Kafka eventsExperience in designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs and web services, including OpenAPI/Swagger documentation SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
