Senior Mendix Platform Engineer Are you an experienced Mendix developer who brings additional expertise in DevOps, testing, frontend styling or high code? Do you enjoy solving technical challenges that extend across applications and teams? For an international organisation, I'm recruiting a Senior Mendix Platform Engineer based in the Netherlands. English-speaking professionals are welcome, and IND sponsorship is available through us. Your role You will build and improve a platform supporting more than 68 Mendix applications. Your work enables development teams to deliver reliable applications through reusable modules, integrations, automation and shared platform services.Working closely with application teams, you will investigate complex issues, improve platform standards and make development and deployment processes more efficient.What makes this role challenging? The complexity lies in building solutions that work across an entire Mendix landscape. A change to a shared module, deployment pipeline or design system can affect many applications and teams. You need to understand those dependencies, investigate downstream impact and deliver solutions that remain maintainable at scale. Years of Mendix development experience alone are therefore not enough. We're looking for someone who combines strong hands-on Mendix skills with broader platform experience and an additional area of expertise. This could be DevOps, styling, testing, high code or the ability to bridge complex technical discussions between teams. High-code experience without practical Mendix experience does not meet the requirements of this role. What will you do? Build and maintain reusable Mendix modules, components, integrations and platform services.Automate deployment processes and help applications adopt updated platform modules with minimal manual effort.Develop and improve pipelines and automation within Azure DevOps and the wider enterprise infrastructure.Investigate complex issues across shared components, consuming applications and connected systems.Collaborate with development teams to resolve design system issues and understand their impact across applications.Use Mendix and adjacent technologies to reduce duplication and support secure, high-quality delivery.Document technical decisions, present solutions and improve platform standards and developer experience.What do you bring? Strong hands-on Mendix development experience and the ability to explain your technical decisions.Experience building or maintaining shared solutions used by multiple applications or development teams.Additional expertise that strengthens the team, such as DevOps, frontend styling, testing, high code or technical communication.An understanding of integrations, dependencies and the impact of platform changes on consuming applications.Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation or Azure DevOps is particularly relevant.Clear communication skills in English, both written and spoken.Persistence and ownership when solving complex problems across teams and systems.You currently live in the Netherlands.Practical informationAn international working environment where English-speaking professionals are welcome.36 hours per week, with the option to work 40 hours.IND sponsorship available through us.Interested?
