Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doing: Month-end close and reporting Prepare journals, accruals and prepayment schedules under reviewRun balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and follow up on what does not tieHelp build the monthly reporting pack — and, once you know it, own sections of itProduce the first cut of variance analysis on revenue and OPEX by cost centreDay-to-day finance operations Process purchase invoices, match them to POs and keep vendor data cleanSupport accounts receivable — invoicing, cash allocation and polite, persistent chasingReview expense claims and credit card reconciliations against policyKeep finance trackers and ERP data accurate, because every report downstream depends on itAnalysis and commercial finance Pull together the data behind our SaaS metrics — ARR, churn, retention and cost per customerTidy and analyse pricing and discount data to support the annual price reviewBuild and maintain parts of the weekly performance dashboardAnswer the small, real questions that come in from Sales and Customer SuccessGovernance, audit and process Pull samples and documentation for the external audit and for VAT filingsDocument how a process actually works today — then propose how it should workFind the manual step that everyone tolerates, and automate itOne project that is yours! You'll own one project end to end, agreed with you in week two and chosen to match what you want on your CV. Examples: automate a report that currently takes a day a month, build a cost-per-customer model, or analyse discount leakage across a region. You scope it, you run it, and you present it to the finance leadership team in your final month. If you are writing a thesis, we will help you point it at a real dataset.
