The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for talented iOS Engineers to join ABC Digital Product and help develop, maintain and evolve applications used by Australians every day.
We have two opportunities 1 x Mid-Level & 1x Senior, working across the ABC’s iOS and tvOS applications.
You’ll build scalable, secure and highly performant applications using Swift, working across the complete mobile engineering lifecycle from feature development and testing through to automated releases, production monitoring and ongoing technical improvement.
Key Accountabilities
Design, develop and maintain components and features across ABC iOS and tvOS applicationsBuild scalable, secure, accessible and high-performing mobile experiences using Swift and SwiftUIContribute to the analysis, design and development of reusable mobile components and functionalityApply modern mobile frameworks and development tooling across product deliveryDevelop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration and end-to-end automated testingWork across the full mobile release process including CI/CD, automation pipelines and production monitoringIdentify, triage and resolve production issues while improving application reliabilityDrive ongoing improvements across performance, security, accessibility and engineering qualityContribute to technical documentation, standards and mobile engineering best practiceAt senior level, contribute significantly to technical roadmaps, solution design and strategy while mentoring other engineers
About You
You’ll bring:
Advanced to highly advanced iOS development experience using Swift and SwiftUIExperience building public-facing applications across mobile platforms and devicesStrong knowledge of modern iOS frameworks, tools and software engineering practicesExperience building secure, accessible and highly performant mobile applicationsStrong automated testing capability across unit, integration and end-to-end testingExperience with mobile CI/CD, automation pipelines, production releases and monitoringStrong understanding of mobile performance, security and accessibilityExcellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skillsDemonstrated technical ownership and delivery capabilityFor our senior opportunity, experience providing technical leadership, shaping technical direction and mentoring engineersRelevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant skills and experience
