About BloomicBloomic, part of FH Health, builds software for healthcare.
Our products include an electronic medical record (EMR) platform and mobile apps used every day by clinic staff and patients at Pollin Fertility, a fertility clinic with locations in Toronto and Ottawa.
We build with AI at the core.
Our developers use Claude Code and OpenAI Codex every day.
We work prototype-first: product owners build a working prototype, engineers agree on the technical approach, then we build, test and release.
We want developers who already work this way.
The roleYou will build features across our EMR platform, from database to user interface.
Much of the next year's work is rebuilding existing EMR features on a new, domain-driven architecture, so you will help shape how the platform is structured, not only add to it.
You will work directly with product owners, designers and our engineering lead.
You will take prototypes and turn them into secure, tested, production code.
What you will doBuild and maintain features across the frontend and backend of our EMR platform.Turn working prototypes into production code, and agree on the technical approach with product owners and senior engineers before building.Rebuild existing EMR features on our new architecture, and plan data migrations with care.Design APIs, data models and database changes.Use Claude Code and Codex to plan, write, test and review code, and check AI output before it ships.Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests.Review other developers' code and help set engineering standards.Build integrations with external healthcare systems and third-party services.Handle patient data securely, following Ontario health privacy law (PHIPA) and our security practices.Raise risks, blockers and security issues early. What you need6+ years of professional software development, with at least 3 years working across frontend and backend on production systems.Strong TypeScript and React.
