Superyacht Electrical Engineers | Power, Automation & Systems Integration The Dutch superyacht industry offers a unique environment for Electrical Engineers who want to work on some of the world’s most advanced and technically complex yachts. For several custom-built superyacht projects throughout the Netherlands, we are looking for experienced Electrical Engineers with a background in yacht building, shipbuilding or complex marine systems. We have opportunities across the Dutch superyacht industry, both directly at leading shipyards and with specialised subcontractors and system integrators. Whether your expertise lies in power distribution, lighting, automation, system integration or electrical design, we would like to hear from you. What You’ll Be Working On Depending on your experience and specialisation, you will be involved in the design, engineering and integration of electrical systems on board large custom-built superyachts. You may contribute to projects from concept and basic design through to detailed engineering and technical support during construction. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines, shipyards, system integrators, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure all electrical systems are correctly integrated into the yacht. Your scope may include: AC/DC power generation and distributionMain and emergency switchboardsPower Management Systems (PMS)Electrical propulsion and drive systemsLighting systems and lighting controlAlarm, monitoring and control systemsAutomation and integrated control systemsNavigation and communication systemsBattery, UPS and emergency power systemsCable routing, cable schedules and electrical layoutsElectrical load calculations and system calculationsSystem integration and interface managementTechnical specifications and electrical documentation We Are Looking For We are interested in Electrical Engineers from different areas of expertise, including: Electrical Design EngineersPower Systems EngineersElectrical Systems EngineersElectrical & Automation EngineersSystems Integration EngineersElectrical Project EngineersLighting EngineersElectrical Hardware Engineers You have relevant Electrical Engineering experience within the superyacht, shipbuilding or wider maritime industry. Experience with large custom-built yachts is highly valued. You understand the challenges of integrating complex electrical systems into a multidisciplinary marine environment and are comfortable coordinating with Mechanical, Naval, Structural and Outfitting Engineering as well as suppliers and system integrators.
