About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer specializing in Java and React to join our team at Riverty. This role is offered on a permanent basis with full-time hours, and you have the option to work either from our locations in Verl or Baden-Baden, with flexible hybrid working arrangements. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in developing innovative software solutions that enhance our workforce management platform. Your expertise will help create intuitive user interfaces and streamline processes for digital customer inquiries, supporting our clients in their daily business operations. In this role, you will become an integral member of a cross-functional product team, working on a variety of engaging projects. Your responsibilities will include enhancing existing Java applications, developing modern desktop and backend solutions with Java and Spring Boot, and implementing contemporary frontend interfaces using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. You will contribute to the ongoing development of features related to workforce management, user interface design, and digital inquiry processing. Additionally, you will develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices, analyze business requirements, and translate them into sustainable technical solutions. Ensuring high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and tools like SonarQube will be a key part of your daily work. You will also participate actively in agile Scrum processes, shaping architectural decisions and development standards, and leveraging modern AI tools to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency in software development. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT-related qualification. You should possess several years of professional experience in developing mission-critical software products or digital platforms. Strong proficiency in Java, with a focus on clean code principles and sustainable software development, is essential. Experience working with Java Swing, Angular, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript will be highly advantageous. You should also have knowledge of developing REST APIs and microservice architectures, along with familiarity with tools such as SonarQube, Git, and automated testing frameworks. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are required to collaborate effectively within our international environment.
