The organization integrates a secure identity platform with a network of application providers to support technology that benefits students everywhere. About the Opportunity: The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, DEVICES will develop and maintain integrations with multiple operating systems used by students in classrooms, including iOS, macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS. This role involves creating features across backend services and native device clients to enable quick and secure access to learning applications. The position is critical to minimizing sign-in delays on shared devices, improving the user experience for students and IT administrators, and ensuring system stability and adoption by school districts. Responsibilities: Build and maintain device integrations for multiple operating systems.Collaborate with Product, Design, IT administrators, and Customer Support to inform feature development.Mentor peers through code reviews and provide technical leadership.Lead projects involving native clients and backend services, including Platform SSO for macOS and integration with various login systems.Ensure code quality, maintainability, and reliability of login systems. Requirements: Minimum of 4 years professional software engineering experience with device-centric development.Experience building native applications for Windows or supporting Windows environments; experience with iOS, macOS, or ChromeOS is a plus.Knowledge of server-side device management, including MDM platforms and setup/troubleshooting of identity environments.Proven project leadership skills managing complex projects from design through deployment.Experience in system design addressing complex product needs.Commitment to writing modular, extensible, and testable code.Alignment with the organization's engineering culture. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Swift, C++, Go, TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS services.Experience developing for multiple platforms among iOS, macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS.Participation in on-call rotations for system stability.Experience using AI development tools to improve workflows and code quality. Pay Range and Compensation Package: Base salary range for candidates in the United States excluding NYC and San Francisco, CA is $140,000 to $196,000.Base salary range for candidates in NYC and San Francisco, CA is $154,000 to $215,000.Final offers consider experience and expertise levels.
