Summary ✨ AI‑Generated

A solution architect is sought to design and automate infrastructure using Terraform and related Infrastructure as Code technologies. You will work with Python or TypeScript-based alternatives, CI/CD workflows, integration configurations, API data transformation, and self-service platform capabilities.

Highlights

Architecture-focused infrastructure role centered on Terraform, CI/CD, integrations, and developer self-service. The position combines infrastructure automation with data transformation and modern platform engineering practices.

Description

Responsibilities · Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): You need strong Terraform skills to manage the portal as code. This involves writing .tf files to define port_blueprint, port_entity, and port_action resources, using the port-labs/port-labs provider . Pulumi (Python/TypeScript) is an alternative for defining resources . · Integration Framework (Ocean): You must understand the Ocean framework. This is a Python 3.11 based solution used to sync third-party data . Skills involve writing config.yaml files, understanding the integration lifecycle, and potentially contributing to main.py logic for custom systems . · CI/CD & Orchestration: You will need deep experience with GitHub Actions to create self-service action backends. · Data Mapping & Transformation: Proficiency in JQ is essential. It is used in config.yaml or port-app-config.yml to filter API responses, extract data paths (.data.users), and map fields to Port entity properties . Enterprise Integration Configuration skills · Terraform: Configure the provider for EU (api.port.io) or US (api.us.port.io) regions, and manage resources using variables for credentials . · GitHub Actions: Set up auto-discovery to import workflows as self-service actions, or manually define the action JSON to trigger workflows . · Dynatrace: Use the Ocean framework (Python) to ingest Problems, SLOs, and Entities. This requires defining mapping rules (JQ) to link Dynatrace entities to Port microservices . You can also set up webhooks for real-time problem alerts . Experience Level Required · 5+ years in solutions architecture or DevOps engineering . · Cloud-Native Expertise: Deep understanding of Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices . · IaC Mastery: Hands-on experience with Terraform and Pulumi . · Consulting & Design: Ability to design scalable IDP architectures, reference patterns, and guide adoption across platform and DevEx teams .
