Overview
We are seeking a Staff Business Applications Developer to design, build and support internal applications, business process automations, system integrations and data pipelines across ERP, engineering and business platforms.
This is a hands-on development role combining modern software engineering with AI-assisted development.
You will use AI coding agents to accelerate delivery while maintaining ownership of architecture, security, code quality, testing, documentation and long-term maintainability.
You will work closely with end users, business leaders and process owners to understand requirements, demonstrate solutions, deliver production-ready applications and support adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, test and deploy custom internal applications and business process automation solutions.Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar tools as part of the development workflow.Review and validate AI-generated code, ensuring security, correctness, maintainability and documentation.Build and maintain integrations between ERP, PLM, HR, engineering and SaaS platforms using REST APIs, connectors and scheduled data flows.Develop data pipelines and solutions that connect disparate business systems.Build smaller AI-enablement solutions, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, authentication, access controls and logging.Assess technical feasibility, estimate development effort and define technical approaches.Own application architecture, data models, integration architecture and component design.Deploy and maintain applications in Microsoft Azure in partnership with Enterprise IT.Use CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to create repeatable, reliable deployments.Apply Git, code review, environment separation, testing and release management practices.Participate in process discovery sessions and translate real-world business workflows into technical solutions.Demonstrate applications and proposed solutions to non-technical stakeholders.Train and support end users.Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data-flow documentation, interface specifications, runbooks and support materials.Provide post-production support, troubleshooting and ongoing enhancements.Ensure applications meet security, data-handling and compliance requirements.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent additional professional experience.3+ years of professional experience developing and supporting business applications, integrations or process automation solutions.Strong experience with at least one modern programming language such as Python, C#, JavaScript or TypeScript.Ability to read, understand and troubleshoot code written by others.Hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar.Experience working from written specifications, development plans and acceptance criteria while reviewing and validating AI-generated code.Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including querying, data modelling and troubleshooting.Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party or vendor platforms.Experience deploying and supporting applications in a cloud environment; Microsoft Azure preferred.Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines; GitLab CI preferred.Strong stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to work directly with non-technical users and business leaders.Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S.
Department of Defense security clearance.
