Description - About the Role Join the team building the next generation of OMEN Gaming Hub, HP’s software platform for gaming PCs and accessories. OMEN Gaming Hub brings gaming-related features together in one place, helping users personalize their gaming experience and manage supported system and device settings. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll help shape and deliver the platform’s future. You’ll design and build reliable desktop software using C#, .NET, WPF, and Avalonia, and collaborate with a cross-functional team working in Scrum. We use GitHub for source control and Jira to manage tasks and bugs. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain features for the next generation of OMEN Gaming Hub.Build desktop user experiences using C#, .NET, WPF, and/or Avalonia.Contribute to technical design, code reviews, debugging, and software quality.Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to turn requirements into well-designed features.Participate in Scrum ceremonies and use Jira and GitHub as part of the development workflow.Help improve the architecture, performance, and maintainability of the software. Education & Experience Recommended Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field. Requirements Strong professional experience with C# and .NET.Experience developing desktop applications with WPF and/or Avalonia.Solid understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture, and maintainable code.Experience with debugging, testing, and improving software quality.Comfortable collaborating through GitHub and working in a Scrum environment with Jira.Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with both WPF and Avalonia, or with modernizing desktop applications.Familiarity with Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA SDKs and APIs for hardware control or overclocking.Experience communicating with USB RGB components using HID commands or similar device protocols.Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices.Experience using AI-assisted development tools or “vibe coding” workflows, with care taken to validate generated code.
