About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced IT infrastructures that support our clients' digital initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing cloud-native environments, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring the reliability and security of critical systems. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as proficiency in container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and OpenShift. You will play a key role in establishing and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and integrating AI-assisted engineering tools into operational workflows. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and operation of LLMOps platforms, supporting the deployment and management of large language models within enterprise environments. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess at least 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, Configuration Management, or Platform Engineering. You should have a strong understanding of DevOps platforms, particularly GitLab, and hands-on experience with application operations and automated deployments. Proven expertise in Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift 4, including enterprise cluster administration, is essential. Experience working with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP is required, along with a solid background in CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Competence in Infrastructure as Code and scripting languages such as Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Go, or Python is necessary. Familiarity with container technologies like Docker, as well as monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk, is highly desirable. Knowledge of security frameworks including BSI standards, IT infrastructure security, Zero Trust models, Secret Management, and Identity & Access Management (LDAP, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2) is also important. Strong analytical skills, incident handling capabilities, and effective crisis communication are vital. Fluency in both German and English at C1/C2 level, along with residence in Germany, is required. Additional experience with storage solutions like Ceph, OpenShift Data Foundation, or network/DNS management is advantageous, as is prior Linux system administration experience. Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and LLM infrastructure operation will be considered a plus. Responsibilities Design and execute complex IT projects from initial conception through deployment and into stable production operation.Ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of Linux-based environments, microservices architectures, and web applications.Configure and optimize DevOps pipelines focusing on Continuous Integration and Delivery to facilitate seamless, efficient, and reliable development workflows.Integrate and utilize AI-assisted engineering tools, such as Claude Code, to enhance development and operational processes.Design and manage LLMOps platforms for the secure and efficient deployment of large language models within enterprise settings.Implement and operate Docker environments to support scalable and standardized application landscapes.Promote automation and standardization initiatives, ensuring the stability and robustness of the application ecosystem in collaboration with the team.Provide advanced support (3rd level) for complex system landscapes, including root cause analysis and problem resolution.Utilize collaboration tools professionally to facilitate knowledge sharing, transparency, and effective teamwork toward common objectives.Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements, including security standards, operational concepts, and IT governance policies.
