# .NET Software Engineer ## About the Role Our client is a global travel technology company connecting people with unique travel experiences across more than 60,000 cities and 180 countries. The engineering organization focuses on building modular systems, maintaining clean code and clear documentation, and continuously improving development processes and tools. As a .NET Software Engineer, you will work across the technology stack on a new payment solution, contributing to global payment UIs, APIs, processor integrations, reporting, and reconciliation pipelines. You will collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end features while helping build scalable, reliable systems that support the company's travel technology platform. ## Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain a new payment solution across the full technology stack. * Build and support user interfaces for global payment experiences. * Develop APIs and integrate with payment processors. * Contribute to offline reporting and reconciliation pipelines that support financial data integrity. * Design, build, and maintain modular and scalable software systems. * Apply strong software engineering practices with a focus on clean code and clear documentation. * Contribute to improving development processes, tools, and developer efficiency. * Collaborate across teams to deliver features end-to-end. * Ensure technical solutions support product and business objectives. * Work with both UI and backend components across the application stack. ## Required Qualifications ### Technical Skills * Strong understanding of object-oriented development principles. * Hands-on experience with .NET. * Experience with .NET Core and/or ASP.NET MVC. * Strong C# development experience. * Experience with Azure SQL. * Ability to work across the full technology stack. * Understanding of both frontend/UI and backend components. ### Professional Skills * Ability to collaborate effectively across teams. * Focus on code quality, maintainability, and documentation. * Ability to contribute to scalable and modular software development. * Commitment to continuous improvement and developer efficiency. ## Preferred / Development Skills The source indicates that the successful candidate should be willing to receive industry-recognized training in the following technologies and practices: * .NET 9 * Azure * Angular 19 * Solid * DRY principles * LINQ * Multithreading * Microservices * RESTful services * Web API 2 * JavaScript * HTML5 * Agile * MongoDB ## Work Arrangement & Location * **Location:** Amsterdam, Netherlands * **Work Arrangement:** Remote working available * Applicants must be based in the Netherlands. * Applicants must have the right to work in the Netherlands. * Remote work does not change the Netherlands-based work authorization requirement. ## Compensation & Benefits * **Salary:** €4,000–€6,000 per month. * Bonus, typically 20%. * Company shares. * Quarterly employee travel coupon. * Community involvement opportunity: 4 hours per month to give back to the community. * Additional benefits as provided by the employer. ## Industry & Role * **Industry:** Travel Technology / Online Travel * **Job Function:** Information Technology / Software Engineering * **Role:** .NET Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer
