We are seeking to modernise the administration of justice by replacing highly manual, time-consuming, paper-based processes with a new digital case management solution, transforming the way people access and experience justice in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Te Haeata/The Opportunity
As a Test Engineer, you will work closely with frontline, vendors, and the wider Te Au Reka program team to ensure the solution meets the requirements and is fit for purpose.
You will play a key role throughout the application lifecycle, supporting build, test, release, deployment, and configuration activities.
You will also support the planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities, help drive testing best practices, and work with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet quality and service acceptance requirements.

Improve the use and availability of automated testing practices and tools across the MinistryLead testing activities delivered by team members and suppliersSupport the planning, coordination, and execution of system, integration, and acceptance testing activitiesStrengthen testing capability by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and more effective service delivery
Ō Pūkenga/Skills And Experience
To be successful in this position you will have,
Proven test engineering experience in large and complex environmentsExperience implementing automated testing at the unit, system, and/or acceptance testing levels, particularly within Agile delivery teamsStrong experience working collaboratively with business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to design and execute effective testing solutionsExperience applying risk-based testing approaches and validating features with Product and/or Service ManagersThe ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholdersStrong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesRelevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, or equivalent experience, supported by a commitment to ongoing professional developmentRelevant industry, technical, and/or professional certifications
Desirable
An understanding of the constitutional principles and legal processes that underpin New Zealand's justice systemKnowledge of All-of-Government ICT principles, practices, and service offerings

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The salary range for this role is between $88,455 and $120,357, based on skills and experience.
