As a trusted senior engineer, you'll provide senior operational support across our enterprise technology environment while leading complex technical initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and helping modernise our infrastructure platforms. You'll act as a key escalation point for critical issues, mentor engineers across the team, and help raise engineering standards through automation, standardisation, and best practice. You'll join a team responsible for supporting and evolving a complex enterprise environment spanning cloud, identity, collaboration, networking, security, and core infrastructure services. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, You Will Lead the implementation, management, optimisation, and support of enterprise infrastructure and cloud platformsAct as a senior escalation point for complex technical incidents, problems, and service impactsLead the delivery of infrastructure projects and platform improvement initiativesDrive continuous improvement through automation, standardisation, and modern engineering practicesMentor and support engineers across the team, helping build technical capability and engineering maturityChampion operational excellence through governance, documentation, knowledge sharing, and technical standardsIdentify opportunities to improve platform reliability, security, performance, and efficiencyContribute technical expertise into architecture discussions, technology roadmaps, and future platform directionAct as the technical owner for assigned infrastructure platforms and services. You'll be someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and looks for opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and service quality through automation and standardisation. Key Skills And Experience Senior Infrastructure Expertise: Significant hands-on experience managing enterprise ICT environments, including Microsoft Server OS, Microsoft 365, Public Cloud (Azure/AWS), Active Directory / Entra ID, Exchange Online, endpoint management technologies, enterprise security tooling, SSL certificates, and DNS/domain managementArchitecture & Solution Design: Proven ability to analyse systems, understand user requirements, and translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutionsEnterprise Operations: Strong understanding of operating within complex, multi-vendor enterprise environments and supporting critical production servicesAdvanced Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to diagnose, resolve, and prevent complex technical and performance issues across diverse infrastructure platformsLeadership & Influence: Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to mentor others, influence outcomes, and contribute technical expertise into planning and decision-making forumsModern Engineering Practices: Experience with automation, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, platform standardisation, or similar approaches that improve reliability, consistency, and operational efficiencyContinuous Improvement Mindset: Passion for service improvement, platform optimisation, and driving positive change through technology.
