Junior Software Engineer Location: United States (Remote) Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 Seniority: Entry Level Department: Engineering About the Role We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to contribute to software development, testing, debugging, and maintenance across application projects. This entry-level opportunity is designed for candidates who have developed practical programming experience through internships, academic or personal projects, freelance work, open-source contributions, or early professional experience. You will work alongside experienced engineers to build reliable software, troubleshoot issues, improve existing applications, and contribute to engineering best practices. What You'll Do Write, test, debug, and maintain application code.Translate technical requirements and user stories into maintainable software components.Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from experienced engineers.Troubleshoot software defects and investigate root causes.Implement fixes and improvements to existing applications.Work with APIs, databases, version-control systems, and development tools.Contribute to unit testing and software-quality initiatives.Collaborate with engineering, QA, product, and other stakeholders.Maintain technical documentation and development notes.Participate in Agile or similar software-development processes.Learn and apply established engineering standards and development practices.
