You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You'll Lead high impact initiatives: drive complex, multi team projects from concept to production, owning the technical approach and the outcomeShape technical direction: influence architecture, system design, and best practices across the engineering organizationSet the standard for building with AI: use Claude Code, Cursor, and others as a core part of how you work, and lead how the broader team adopts them to ship faster without sacrificing qualityRaise the bar on code quality: define and uphold standards for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability, for hand written and AI generated code alikePartner across the business: work closely with product, design, and quality to define technical requirements and shape what gets builtScale the platform: find opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and team efficiency, and drive them to completionGrow other engineers: mentor senior and earlier career engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pairing, building judgment across the team We're excited that you have Advanced AI fluency: you direct tools like Claude Code or Cursor at a high level, build repeatable workflows around them, and help others do the sameTechnical leadership: you lead without needing authority, align engineers around a direction, and make sound architectural calls under ambiguityStrong code review judgment: you hold AI generated code to the same standard as hand written code and teach others to catch bugs, edge cases, security gaps, and performance issues before they shipProduct sense: you think about the user and the business, not just the implementation, and connect technical decisions to customer outcomesSystems thinking: deep grasp of system design, scaling, and the tradeoffs between performance, reliability, and data integrityClear communication: you articulate technical tradeoffs to engineers, leadership, and non technical partners alikeMentorship orientation: you give feedback that builds judgment in others, not just fixes the immediate issue Qualifications BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack developmentProven expertise building scalable web application back ends: Ruby on Rails, Flask, Node, or similarAdvanced front end experience: React, Angular, Vue, or similarHands on experience with AI assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) in production work, with a track record of driving adoption and productivity gains across an engineering teamDemonstrated experience leading complex initiatives across teams from concept to productionExperience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions Nice to have Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI workflows in productionExperience with distributed systems, event driven architectures, or cloud platforms like AWSBackground in high growth SaaSInterest in commercial real estate or fintech The Perks & Culture: Medical, dental, & vision insurance coverageHybrid 3 days in office policyFlexible Spending AccountPaid Parental Leave401(k)Company sponsored commuter benefitsFlexible time off policyCatered lunches and snacksMonthly wellness reimbursementThe estimated base pay range for New York candidates for this position is $220k - $260k base.This position is also eligible for Dealpath's equity plan.Your compensation will be based upon several factors including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and the skills assessed in Dealpath's interview process.Your actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.Dealpath's compensation ranges are determined by current market data, so compensation data posted on our job posts may change as new market data becomes available.
