Join a civil engineering team delivering infrastructure projects involving roads, drainage, utilities, grading, and structures. You will prepare designs, calculations, drawings, hydraulic analyses, specifications, estimates, permits, and technical documentation, while supporting construction administration and field inspections. A structured onboarding plan provides mentorship before you take ownership of live project work.
Highlights
Hands-on civil engineering role covering design, analysis, permitting, construction support, and site work. The structured first-90-days plan provides mentorship, exposure to active projects, and a path toward ownership of live design tasks.
Description
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
- Prepare designs, calculations and drawings for [roads, drainage, utilities, grading, site, structures] - Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools to produce plans, profiles and models
- Run hydrology and hydraulic analysis (e.g.
HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, SWMM)
- Prepare technical specifications, quantity take-offs and cost estimates - Review submittals, answer RFIs and support construction administration
- Visit sites for inspections, surveys and progress checks
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate with agencies, utilities and stakeholders
- Check designs against codes and standards (AASHTO, ASCE, ACI, state DOT, local requirements)
