Description
Great code is only half the job
Cadpeople is hiring a frontend developer in Aarhus who writes solid code, understands the client, designs the system, and makes it feel right.
For 30 years, we've made the complex simple for companies like Vestas, Ørsted, Grundfos, Novo Nordisk and Fred.
Olsen.
We do it with 3D, XR, digital training simulators, virtual campuses, and digital learning, all built on our in-house frameworks.
The craft is changing too.
AI tools already have a big impact on how we develop, and we're on a journey to strengthen our AI coding capabilities.
But AI only pays off in the hands of developers with real knowledge and experience.
That's why we look for systems thinking, client dialogue, and close collaboration with our creatives, as much as we do code.
What you'll do
You'll build bespoke applications for large enterprise clients, from the first workshop to the live solution.
Typical work:
Turn client needs into systems.
Join client meetings and workshops, ask the right questions, and shape the solution before anyone writes code.Think across frameworks.
Combine our in-house building blocks (Vue.js and Three.js frontends, Digital simulators, Umbraco headless CMS, .NET microservices on Azure, and Electron for offline use) into the right architecture for each case.Use what we've already built.
Draw on experience from delivered projects to show the client what's possible, and to avoid building the same thing twice.Help shape how we build with AI.
Use AI tools in your daily work, and help us strengthen our AI coding capabilities as we go.Work closely with creatives.
Art directors, 3D artists, learning specialists, and project managers are your daily team.
You make their ideas run in the browser, on a kiosk, or in a headset.Strengthen the foundation.
Improve the frameworks on which every future project stands.
Who you are
We don't expect you to know it all.
But you'll recognise yourself in most of this:
You have at least 3 years of experience as a frontend developer, with solid JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue.js skills. You think in systems, not just screens: APIs, data, hosting, security and how it all fits together. You use AI coding tools fluently, and you still understand, review, and own every line that ships. You can explain technical choices to a client who isn't technical, in English.
Danish is a plus. You care about how things look and feel, and you enjoy working with designers and 3D artists. You think big.
A request for "an e-learning module" makes you wonder whether it should be a simulator, a virtual campus, or an AI coach. It's a plus if you know Three.js, WebGL, Umbraco, Node.js, .NET, Azure, CI/CD and security by design (OWASP Top 10).Your education matters less than your curiosity and how well you work with others.
What you get
Work that matters.
Train wind turbine technicians, onboard energy workers, and help industrial companies explain products that change the world, often with a sustainability angle.Big clients, small team.

We're building up our AI coding capabilities, and this role can help shape how we get there.A creative workplace.

How to apply
Send your CV and a short application.
A classic application is welcome, as long as it sounds like you.
Generic AI-written applications will not be prioritised.
Want to stand out? You can add something small that shows your character and how you'd fit in at Cadpeople.
It's optional, and it doesn't need to be big or complex.
For example:
A story about a time you turned a vague client need into something that worked.A short video, even filmed on your phone, about something you built or care about.A skill or tool, like a small AI agent, workflow or utility you made to work smarter.A thought on one of our cases: what you'd have done differently, or how you'd take it further.
Our office language is Danish, and we use English with many of our clients.
You don't need to be fluent in Danish, but it helps if you understand it.
