The Agent Platform and Experience team is an established squad of 6 engineers at Etsy. Our mission is to increase agent efficiency while improving decision making to deliver positive and consistent outcomes for our customers and the greater Etsy community. All the members of this squad will be experienced engineers at Etsy that will support you in your onboarding. About The Role We are looking for an experienced full stack engineer to join on a contract basis for our Agent Platform and Experience team.This role will be focused on improving the agent tooling and infrastructure that enable Etsy's Support Agents to deliver efficient, high-quality, and scalable support. The team is 50/50 split between US east coast and Ireland so core hours would be 9-12 EST Requirements Must-Haves Experience with FrontEnd frameworks: React, AngularExperienced Full stack engineer. Preferably with a background in PHPStrong debugging skills Nice-to-Haves Experience with working with ‘legacy’ code - refactoring and improving existing code is as important as building new code for this role.Experience helping to drive and define requirements as much as follow themBe comfortable working with design/UX stakeholders and having an interest in UX.Experience with performance tuning would be a plus - finding efficiencies in slow areas of the code is very beneficial.Enjoy thinking about the implications of your work on end users.You are comfortable collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to ensure that you’re delivering impactful product features.Have excellent communication skills, and are enthusiastic and forward-looking!
