Principal Embedded Software Engineer now needed in Bristol contributing to architecture, design, and implementation of safety-critical embedded software. This role involves technical leadership within projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high standards of software quality and compliance with safety standards. I am seeking an experienced Principal Embedded Engineer with 10 years plus expertise in the following areas: Strong experience in embedded systems design and developmentProficiency in C and assembler.strong experience with Real-Time Operating SystemsFamiliarity with safety-critical software development standards (e.g., IEC 61508, DO 178B/C, ISO26262, IEC 62304)Experience in software development within a controlled development environmentLow-level embedded engineering experience (e.g., Cortex M3, M4, A7)Networking protocols Embedded software security and multicore device development.Experience in software requirements and configuration managementExperience in managing projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocationAbility to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance This role will suit someone who is looking for a long term opportunity in central Bristol.
