Role Description As a Senior Azure Data Architect, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data platforms on Microsoft Azure to support scalable, secure, and high-performing analytics solutions.
You will work closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to define data architecture standards, choose appropriate Azure services, and ensure data modeling, integration, and storage solutions align with business requirements.
Daily activities include creating technical designs, overseeing ETL/ELT pipelines, guiding data governance and security practices, reviewing implementation quality, and mentoring data engineers and developers.
You will collaborate in cross-functional agile teams, participate in architecture reviews, and continuously improve cloud data solutions and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong enterprise Azure Data Architecture + real production experience designing the data layer behind GenAI/RAG/Agentic applications.Cosmos DB remains fundamental.Strong and current Synapse experience is also important.AI-ready data architecture alone is not enough; we need a real production project supporting a RAG/GenAI/Agentic application.The candidate does not need to be an LLM/agent developer, but must understand and have designed the data architecture supporting such applications.Architecture ownership, existing-platform modernization, unstructured data, scalable/metadata-driven ingestion and implementation-ready architecture remain important.
