Pega Front-end Developer Location: Netherlands Contract Duration: 12 Months Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Language: Dutch - minimum C1/C2 level Experience: 10-12+ years Contract Type: No ZZP / Freelance Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Pega Front-end Developer with a strong background in Pega Constellation, DX API, ReactJS and enterprise UX transformation. The successful candidate will combine hands-on front-end development with UX consulting and solution design, helping modernise large-scale Pega Case Management applications and deliver intuitive, accessible and scalable user experiences. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor for UX transformation and front-end modernisation initiatives. Recommend appropriate UI architectures and modern front-end approaches for enterprise Pega environments. Lead UX discovery workshops, design-thinking sessions and stakeholder interviews. Analyse business processes and user journeys to identify opportunities to improve the overall user experience. Develop UX strategies aligned with business and customer objectives. Create personas, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs. Define UX standards, accessibility guidelines and design governance. Drive adoption of reusable design systems and component-based front-end frameworks. Present UX recommendations and proposed solutions to senior stakeholders. Design and develop modern interfaces using Pega Constellation and DX API. Build custom front-end experiences using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and REST APIs. Develop reusable UI components and frameworks integrated with Pega. Extend Pega's standard capabilities through custom React applications. Integrate React front ends with Pega Case Management and workflow solutions through DX APIs. Develop responsive, mobile-first and accessible user experiences. Collaborate closely with Pega architects, developers and business stakeholders. Support solution estimation, proposal development and customer workshops. Mentor development and UX teams on modern front-end engineering and UX best practices. Required Experience Minimum 10-12 years of overall IT experience. Minimum 5+ years of Pega implementation experience. Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Pega Constellation and DX API. Minimum 4+ years of ReactJS front-end development experience. Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and REST APIs. Experience developing headless front-end solutions aligned with solution architecture. Strong experience with Pega Case Management. Experience modelling and designing Pega Case Management solutions integrated with: Microservices Bespoke front ends Databases External APIs and services Experience developing UI directly within Pega Case Management. Experience integrating bespoke/custom UIs with Pega Case Management. Experience with low-code engineering within Pega. Experience developing geo-based applications, such as map servers and/or OpenLayers. Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility and responsive design. Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments. Certification Certified Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) is required. Language Requirement Fluent Dutch is essential, with a minimum C1/C2 level in speaking and writing.
