Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Director, IT Administration & Solution Delivery Center, this position provides comprehensive project management, process improvement, business analysis, and information systems support for the IT Division's enterprise systems and services, as assigned, and for the Office of Institutional Research.
The position manages projects from concept through implementation and completion using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
The position serves as a business analyst and systems administrator for assigned functional areas and systems, developing a strong understanding of the supported units' business processes, operational needs, and technology requirements.
Responsibilities include developing business and technical requirements; designing and building reports; supporting the requirements and design of queries, APIs, and system interfaces; performing system testing and configuration; troubleshooting and resolving system issues; and serving as a liaison between IT and supported business units.
The position typically leads or participates as a member of cross-functional project teams and may also work independently as an individual contributor on assigned projects and initiatives.
The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, and provide timely and effective support for enterprise systems and services.
Occasional evening and weekend work, overtime, and response to enterprise application outages or escalations may be required based on project and operational support needs.
Essential Functions
Project Management, Process Improvement, & Business Analysis
Act as lead Project Manager and Business Analyst for your assigned customers and units.Deliver projects on-time, on-budget, and in scope.Plan and develop an accurate project portfolio in relation to the IT roadmap with leadership oversight and guidance.Manage project schedules, resources, communications, issues, risk, and implementation.Work to improve business processes by mapping as is and future state maps and solutions.
Technical & Business Support
Provide operational, functional, and technical support for the design, development, configuration, customization, and implementation of third-party and custom applications, systems, and services.Perform documentation and business/technical analysis associated with system maintenance, modifications, and enhancements.Design and author requirements, configurations, and specifications for systems/services, working closely with enterprise software engineers.Document, coordinate, and participate in designing/planning/scheduling and executing system & UAT testing.Review new systems, modules, workflows for potential implementation.Knowledge-share new and enhanced technologies to stakeholders.Liaise with vendors and interact in a highly-paced and collaborative environment.
Infrastructure Support
Provide device and system knowledge, and leadership for design, development, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure and other unit systems.Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.Develop deep business and functional knowledge of IT, Enterprise Systems, and other unit systems.Manage and administer assigned systems and services, using appropriate business, analysis, and development tools.Develop, write, and facilitate complex IT infrastructure reports in Argos.Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical and functional support to assigned customers and units, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and escalation as needed.Manage bug and issue log to fix defects.Provide timely, responsive, and effective service to assigned customers and units.
Collaboration
Collaborate with the manager on unit goals and execute strategic initiatives as directed.Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders for daily operations and to deliver/promote unit services/initiatives/projects.
Training
Oversee customer training programs within your assigned customers and units.Collaborate with the IT Training Unit for logistics and administrative support during training periods.Train FIT employees, with vendor assistance as needed, on applications, systems, and/or tools related to the unit's supported operations.
Documentation
Develop documentation (charters, implementation plans, user guides, knowledge based articles, etc.) for existing, modified, and/or new systems and services.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.5 years of professional experience in project management, business analysis, information systems, or a related technology field involving the analysis, documentation, design, and delivery of technology services.Experience managing technology projects and priorities and working with business stakeholders to identify and address technology needs.Experience with process improvement, systems implementation, testing, or technical support.Experience troubleshooting technical issues and working collaboratively with IT and business teams.Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a higher education IT environment.Experience supporting or administering enterprise systems.Experience with core infrastructure and public safety ERP systems and devices, preferably network (HP/Aruba), firewall (Palo Alto), telecom (VOIP with MS Teams), physical security (AMAG, Alegion), video surveillance (Salient), and emergency communication (Everbridge, Alertus) systems, or similar.Experience developing custom reports, business intelligence solutions, automated workflows, or related data solutions.Experience with project management methodologies and/or Agile practices.PMP or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of project management, business analysis, process management, and technology implementation practices.Knowledge of enterprise applications, systems administration, and technology-supported business operations.Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and complex problem-solving skills.Ability to translate business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a collaborative environment.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong interpersonal, organizational, documentation, and customer-service skills.Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to cross-functional project teams.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; familiarity with Google Workspace and reporting/query tools.

Salary
Salary: $99,777.63 - $144,170.54 per year; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) dictates the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.
Hiring Salary: $99,777.63 per year with step increments per Salary Schedule 96, after one year of service and annually thereafter.
Work Schedule
Days/Hours: M-F, 9am-5pm, in person; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.
