Lead Drupal Developer

Next Phase Solutions and Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Drupal Developer to support a high-impact digital presence by providing technical expertise and operational support across web and social media channels. This work will help ensure reliable, accessible, and engaging online experiences while advancing our Federal client's ability to inform, connect, and engage with diverse audiences through innovative digital communications strategies. What You'll Do Architect, develop, and maintain secure, high-performing Drupal websites that meet industry standards for accessibility, usability, security, and design excellenceLead Drupal development activities, including custom module development, theming, migrations, automated testing, and ongoing application maintenanceDesign, implement, and execute automated testing strategies to support reliable, high-quality software deliverySupport the full application lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvementHelp define deployment strategies and ensure smooth, efficient releases to production environmentsMentor and collaborate with engineers across varying experience levels, promoting technical growth, knowledge sharing, and development best practicesPartner directly with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to establish priorities, manage expectations, and deliver successful project outcomesContribute to an Agile development environment through planning, sprint execution, technical discussions, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues while identifying opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, security, accessibility, and user experienceChampion quality, innovation, and continuous learning to help drive project and team success Requirements Basic Qualifications 7+ years of experience building secure, accessible, responsive web applications5+ years of hands-on experience building Drupal solutions, including module development, theming, migrations, automated testing, Drush, and Composer3+ years of technical leadership experience, such as a Lead, Deputy Lead, Technical Lead, or comparable roleExperience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS and Acquia7 + years of experience with core web technologies and standards, including HTTP, SSL/TLS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSONDemonstrated experience supporting modern web application development, testing, deployment, and production operationsExperience collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary technical teamsExperience working within Agile software development environmentsStrong troubleshooting, analytical communication, and technical leadership skillsMust be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust level clearance as required by the contract Additional Information about this opening: Employees of Next Phase shall, as an enduring obligation throughout their term of employment, adhere to all information security requirements as documented in company policies and proceduresEnjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, with three days in the office per week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) and two days working remotelyWe are committed to your professional growth, providing opportunities for advancement and exposure to exciting projects and initiativesWe offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and professional growth and development opportunities.
