Description

Position: POWER PACK DESIGN RELEASE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES: ■ Utilize effectively the Customer Program Implementation process and tools. Major tools include CPI Process Map, CPI Web System, Design Reviews and Enterprise Reviews. ■ Develop Modular Power Pack timelines to control product from initial creation through final validation. ■ Clearly communicate risks and plans to mitigate those risks to ensure each CPI phase exits on time and adherence to program imperatives is met. Ensure Nexteer and Customer risk assessments are current. ■ With our Suppliers: Support APQP Processes on-site at key suppliers. ■ Tracking all technical activities in PHE swim lane. ■ Design responsibility for controller cover and assembly of Modular Power Pack. ■ Support on mechanical side of motor design. ■ Collaborate with design & analysis groups to create 3D math models (CAD) and analytical models (FEA, CFD etc). ■ Ensure compliance to company bill of material, design & process. ■ MPP DFMEA lead. ■ With our Plants: Develop strong relationship with Plant Launch Manager and Plant Focus Organization. ■ Coordinate with functional groups to review program team member roles and responsibilities acc. to CPI. ■ Technical support to Nexteer manufacturing plants and prototype center. ■ Support DV/PV testing including root cause analysis. ■ Provide preventive and corrective actions. ■ Participate in maintenance of IATF 16949 standards. ■ Perform activities relative to Company & Group needs. ■ Team management and development, coaching. ■ Work organization of subordinate employees and supervision of its execution (approving holidays and delegations, inspection and approval time work etc.) ■ Provide preventive and corrective actions. ■ Access to customer portal (if required by customer). REQUIREMENTS: ■Min. Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar. ■ Min. 2 years of experience at the similar position. ■ Good English. ■ Strong Analytical and Reporting Skills; ability to convey executive summaries. ■ Coordination of plastic and aluminum parts designs. ■ Ability to Develop and Negotiate Win-Win solutions. ■ EPS product knowledge. ■ Strong interpersonal skills. ■ Conflict resolution & risk management/escalation skills. ■ Experience with the product development process. ■ Understanding of technical & commercial aspects of product line. ■ Understanding of problem-solving skills. ■ Familiarity with GD&T and drawing standard. ■ MS Office skills. ■ Knowledge of IATF 16949. ■ CSR knowledge in job area.
